Plugged Ducts & Mastitis: A Holistic Approach to Care

The understanding of plugged ducts and mastitis has evolved — but the clinical toolkit has not kept pace. While the field has moved away from deep tissue massage and begun to recognize these conditions as primarily inflammatory in nature, standard recommendations remain narrow, leaving parents who wish to avoid unnecessary antibiotic or NSAID exposure with few evidence-informed options and little choice but to turn to social media. This course addresses that gap directly. Participants will develop a thorough understanding of inflammation as the underlying driver of plugged ducts and mastitis, and will examine the factors that predispose parents to breast inflammation in the first place.
